King Charles wishes Prince Harry a happy 40th birthday in surprise social media post to mark major milestone

The British monarch marked the milestone with a brief message published to the royal family’s official accounts about 8am (local time) on Sunday.

“Wishing The Duke of Sussex a very happy 40th birthday today!” the post read, alongside a pink birthday cake emoji.

A picture of Prince Harry was also shared, with the Duke of Sussex looking happy and relaxed in a grey suit at what appears to be a formal event.

The post marks the first time in at least two years Prince Harry’s birthday has been mentioned on the royal family’s social media platforms.
The message was also re-shared by the official social media account of the Prince and Princess of Wales.
